The project aims to unravel the interplay of ARL13B and cAMP signaling in primary cilia. The project is funded by a joint grant from DFG and NSF (USA), together with David Mick (Saarland University) and Tamara Caspary (Emory University, USA).

As part of the Bonn Excellence Cluster ImmunoSensation2, funded by the DFG, we offer a great environment for young researchers. The Institute of Innate Immunity is located in the BMZ-II at the Venusberg-Campus, which was opened in 2020 and offers state-of-the-art laboratory space and research facilities.

The part-time position (65%) is to be filled from 01.12.2023 to 30.11.2026 as soon as possible due the project.

 Requirements

• Master in life sciences, e.g., biology, cell biology, or biochemistry;
• Experience in optogenetics, microscopy, and molecular and cell biology is a plus;
• fluent in English;
• creative and analytical mindset;
• programming skills are also consideres as a plus.
