One Ph.D. position (65% TV-L 13) (m/f/d) is available at the Department of Epileptology / Institute of Experimental Epileptology and Cognition Research, University of Bonn Medical School, Germany in High resolution engram analysis: from behavior to computation
The position is available for three years.
The position is embedded in the Bonn Neuroscience research consortium, which aims at deciphering synaptic networks and network computations in health and disease. The project is part of a collaboration between the Institute of Experimental Epileptology and Cognition Research at the University Hospital Bonn and the Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University Bonn. It has a strong focus on using AI-based behavior detection (DLStream) in combination with novel virus-based circuit mapping tools (Cal-Light, FLARE) for the characterization of the complex computations involved in spatial memory formation.
