Technician (m/f/d) for ERC funded project 371_2022

The “Department of Systems Immunology and Proteomics” at the Institute of Innate Immunity (University of Bonn) led by Prof. Dr. Felix Meissner develops and applies mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics methods to dissect immune signaling.

The position is to be filled for a limited period of four years, depending on the project.

It’s a full-time position (100%)

For the ERC Consolidator grant funded project FIRELARM, we are looking for a technician to support our team.

• Cell biology: isolation and culture of primary human and mouse cells, transfection,  transduction
• Molecular biology: cloning, PCR, gel electrophoresis and extraction, sequencing
• Biochemistry: protein and peptide enrichment, fractionation and purification
• Immunoassays: ELISA, Western blot
• Establishment and optimization of workflows together with senior team members
• Preparation and maintenance of stocks, organization of lab supplies and consumables
• Documentation (experiments, cloning and vector database, lab organization)
• Organizational tasks

• Eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung zur Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegekraft
• Eine abgeschlossene Fachweiterbildung in der Anästhesiepflege und Intensivmedizin oder die Bereitschaft, diese zu absolvieren
• Berufserfahrung im Bereich der Kardiologie und/oder Herzchirurgie
• Berufsanfänger*innen sind uns auch sehr willkommen
• Interesse am Aufbau eines erweiterten Überwachungsbereichs
• Belastbarkeit, eine selbstständige Arbeitsweise sowie Patienten- und Ergebnisorientierung
• Ein ausgeprägtes interkulturelles und genderspezifisches Verständnis
• Interesse an neuen Fachinhalten, Organisationsveränderungen und der Weiterentwicklung des Herzzentrums

• A salary according to the German salary scale TV-L
